We cannot control it. We can’t alter it. We crave more of it, everyday, every week, every month. Once it passes there is no way to get it back. Time to ourselves, time with our familes. When it comes right down to it,  time with our loved ones is the most  precious gift in life. I encourage you to get organized, move the clutter out of your life. Put the work off for a day. Whatever it takes to give your family more time.

Some of us may need to downsize. Cut the living expenses. After-all, the more we make, the more we spend.  It’s a hard pill to swallow but cutting back would take most of the stress out of our lives.  Stress kills. Stress makes you fat. Stress raises your blood pressure. Stress is just un-healthy all the way around. As young people we strive for more; a bigger house, a better car. We want to keep up with the Jone’s.  As we age, we realize that our time here is limited. Then we are just trying to find a way out of the big fat mortgage, the big fat bills. We want to work less and play more.

I worked all day yesterday.  All I wanted to do was get home, change my clothes, have a beer and start the grill; my feng shui.  My son had to take the trash to the dump.  Iwas thinking out loud when I said, ” I should go with you, I need to stop at Target”. I really did not want to go, I was physically and emotionally exhausted. I could not get out “nevermind” fast enough when my son chimed in and said, “Yes, go with me”. He actually admitted that he missed me. I was so excited to hear those words from my teenage son. So excited to go on a date with my son to the dump! Life is good. I want more time. Time to play. I want to say, “I’m glad I did”, not “I wish I had”
