Recipes For A Superbowl Party

Having a Superbowl Party? No need to stress, keep it simple. I don’t get all the hype about the fancy party and football shaped cookies. If the men were at the game, they would be eating hot dogs and drinking beer. Men don’t care what they eat. They just want food.

Menu:

Mini Sliders

Season mini hamburgers ( you can make them yourself or buy them pre-packaged) with Blazin Burger seasoning by Weber; (we found it at BJ’s) . Grilled on the George Forman grill until done and top with cheese. Serve on mini hamburger buns with lettuce, tomato and raw onions.

Sausage and Peppers

In a frying pan, cover Italian sausage with water. Boil until the water boils out. Turn the flame down and add a few drops of olive oil. Add sliced onions and green and red peppers. Add worcestershire sauce. Saute until meat is lightly browned. Serve on rolls.

Meatball Subs

Place frozen meatballs in a crock pot and cover with spaghetti sauce. Heat on high until meatballs are warm. Add shredded mozzarella cheese and serve on rolls.

Grilled Hot Dogs

Cook on a George Forman Grill and serve on hot dog rolls with mustard, relish and diced raw onions.

Caribbean Jerk Wings

Season thawed chicken wing sections with salt, pepper and garlic sauce. Bake wings in oven (350 degrees) for an hour. Remove wings and smother with bottled Caribbean jerk sauce (you can find in in the ailse with condiments). Our favorite is Lawry’s. Serve the wings on a bed of black beans and rice.

Pulled Pork

Roast a pork loin, pork butt or pork shoulder, seasoned with pepper, garlic and sage. Pork shoulder works the best. When done, shred with a knife and fork. Add hot pepper seeds and BBQ sauce. Serve on warm hamburger buns with coleslaw and baked beans.

Don’t forget the chips, dip and beer! Also keep soda or seltzer water on hand for those that don’t drink.
