Appetite Suppressants

[ 0 ] March 3, 2012 |

In an attempt to lose a few pounds, I tried SENSA, an appetite suppressant.  It worked, I was not hungry, no cravings but I broke out in a bad rash. So back to what most of us already know. Weight loss is about eating  healthy foods. No shortcuts, no magic pill or potion. You can curb your appetite the natural way. I did a little research on natural appetite suppressants and here is what I found.

Foods high in fiber make you feel full. They are also good for your cholesterol levels. These foods include apples and nuts, especially almonds. Spices like ginger and cinnamon are also great for your cholesterol levels and suppressing your appetite. You can use them in your food instead of salt and sugar. We all know that we should stay away from salt and sugar because they just increase your cravings for more bad food. Treat yourself now and then but don’t over indulge.

Eat lean protein like fish, chicken, salmon and tuna. These foods will make you feel full. Most importantly, drink 8 glasses of water a day. Try drinking a glass of vegetable juice before your meal to make you feel more satisfied before you even eat. You’ll eat less.

If you are over-eating for seasons like boredom or habit, try changing the time of day that you eat or where you eat. You can break the habit of snaking while looking at TV if you only eat at the table.  Don’t forget to exercise, even if it’s just 15 minutes a day.
